I am very interested in accessing the deeper meanings of what motivates us as Human Beings. What drives us to decide the things we want to do? One example of this search for a deeper understanding of what drives us is Abraham Maslow’s Heirarchy of Needs ( 1943, 1987 ).The first two tiers explain our needs for basic survival. At the bottom of the pyramid are our basic Physiological needs, like food and water. Above this are our Safety needs, like shelter. The next two tiers are Love and Belonging and Esteem, our more emotional side. The final tier is our need for Self Actualization, or better still, our meaning and purpose. Our inner potential.
A great article explaining Maslow’s Pyramid is here:https://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html
Understanding Our Mission
At the core of our mission is the profound understanding of our clients’ motivations. We recognize that self-actualization encompasses the essential truth that PTs/Coaches must carefully take into account with their clients. It involves realizing each individual’s potential, fostering their self-fulfillment, supporting their pursuit of personal growth, and guiding them through peak experiences. This holistic approach forms the foundation of our mission, driving us to empower our clients on their transformative journeys.
