My Walk To The Gym.
My music. Carefully prepared the night before And downloaded onto my phone.I really want to listen to this playlist because it makes me happy.The walk is twenty minutes long.I’m looking forward to it!Just me and my music.My ears wrapped firmly into my headphones, blocking out the rest of the world.Start walking.
The music becomes a distraction from my thoughts,my problems.Hang on,I’ve just thought of something.A solution to what’s been troubling me this morning.I smile.I wish I had a piece of paper and pen to write it down because I’m going to forget it! Never mind.When I get to the gym I’ll write it down on my phone.
Surveying the gym,I see it’s half full.Plenty of space.Oh,is there an aerobics session on in the space I usually use?No.Phew.I can crack on with my workout.Are the kettlebells free? Yes.Two out of three ain’t bad!
Walk back home.Twenty minutes of music and recovery.Oh,it’s raining. Never mind,I’ve got my raincoat to cover my headphones. Home. Food,I’m starving. Back to my desk and work for an hour.
